🖖 NEW #StarTrek Movie Updates from #SDCC 2026! A NEW Star Trek Movie is coming! Well, we know that. It was announced in November 2025. However, we now have new information from the Writers and directors. Jonathan Goldstein and John Francis Daley spoke at San Diego Comic Con 2026, during Collider’s Directors panel. The pair confirmed that a script for Paramount’s next Star Trek feature film is in progress. They’re both very excited about it and revealed people will be surprised. As it’s also been confirmed in the past, the upcoming movie won’t feature characters we’ve seen in past Star Trek movies. Instead, there will be a new take on that. However, the most interesting detail comes from the statement that the movie takes place a little further into the future than we’ve been before. Before anyone panics, this could mean a few things. Of course, it could suggest we’re going even further than the likes of Star Trek: Starfleet Academy. However, I think the Directors perhaps mean into the future past where the Kelvin Movies take place. So perhaps closer to The Next Generation, but sometime before that. Let me know what you think! TOS re-watch day 29: "The City On the Edge of Forever" often rates as Star Trek's finest hour, at least for the original series. And often rates Top 10 for Star Trek in its entirety. Few other Trek episodes have received as much critical and popular praise. And I am certainly among those Trek fans who agree that it's one of TOS's most moving and evocative stories. But I stop short of awarding it my personal status of most favorite. That probably falls to either, "Devil in the Dark," or "The Doomsday Machine." The latter having been written by a contemporary of Harlan Ellison, who wrote this episode. In each instance Trek was striving to bring actual, competent science fiction authors to the lore. And with "The City On the Edge of Forever" the franchise has a true winner. The time travel stakes are familiar to most of us, now. We who came of age with movies like The Terminator, which was also based loosely (so the legal settlement goes) on a Harlan Ellison story. But in 1967 this wasn't so. And the idea that meddling with the past might dramatically alter the present was something new to a lot of television viewers. Could the life or death of even one person have such a drastic effect on the course of history? How badly would things be derailed by intentional or accidental alteration? McCoy's overdose-induced paranoia and madness is mostly a plot contrivance to arrange the circumstances. As is the Guardian itself. An inexplicable relic of a long-dead civilization which apparently mastered not just space, but also time, and incorporated this mastery into a living, thinking device capable of bridging both. That conceit alone is heady. But what the story does with it is better yet. And Joan Collins is a stunning performer, as Edith Keeler. The woman idealistically seeing toward so much, but through whom the trajectory of the 20th century will be altered terribly if she's allowed to live. It's a very good moral question: if you permit Edith to die, or cause her death, is that somehow better than letting her survive? But in so doing altering events so that a more terrible chain of reality ripples forward in time? Can Kirk live with himself when it's all over? Can Spock? Or Bones? The expressions all three men wear when they re-emerge from the Guardian's open portal, tell precisely the toll their journey has taken. Episodes like this are 100% the reason why Star Trek gained such a broad audience in syndication. For every stinker like "The Alternative Factor" doing Star Trek at its worst, there's a genuine gem like "The City On the Edge of Forever" doing Star Trek at its best. IIRC they re-visited the Guardian in at least one of the old Pocketbooks Star Trek novels. Though, I can't remember ever owning a copy. Such a planet featuring such a device would (given the wider lore of TNG and DS9) almost certainly have become one of the Federation's most tightly-held secrets. The Department of Temporal Investigations specifically would be maniacal in desiring control over the Guardian. Defended and protected at practically any cost. Or even destroyed (if possible) so as to prevent the Guardian from being used or abused by anyone; be they Starfleet, or someone from an adversarial nation.

🚨 GEARS OF WAR E DAY OPINION!...🚨 Everybody keeps asking me Where is Gears of War E Day, where is the Gameplay, Release Date, New Trailer, anything seeing as how we are almost four months in to 2026 and I would say the Answers can be found in the Past to Reveal the Future, if your confused you haven't been paying attention!... 👀💥⚙️ In October 2023 I was the first to report on the sixth mainline Gears of War game an Unnannounced Coalition game was set to release sometime in 2026 and 3 years later it looks to finally be happening! 👀😱⚙️ I also discussed a Gears of War Direct show focusing on a deep dive into the new game after Xbox began yearly dedicated game shows! 🧐🤯⚙️ Then on September 20th 2025 after the release of Gears of War Reloaded I uploade a Youtube video discussing my own personal opinion that if there is no E Day at the January 2026 Developer Direct, then it would likely be the Xbox Games Summer Showcase E Day Direct, which again Playground Games were the focus with Fable & Forza Horizon 6 & if we look at Gears of War E Day it is the only Xbox Games Studio first party title confirmed for a 2026 release with zero gameplay shown, no exact release date window & we are already almost four months into the year there must be a reason for that... 🤔🎮⚙️ This is why I have believed since 2023 that the best way to celebrate Gears of War E Day and also the franchise 20th annviersary is with a dedicated E Day Direct show that potentially based on Xbox announcement last year could be announced as early as April 7th/14th if the Xbox Games Showcase were to be happening on either Sunday June 7th or 14th! 🫡🔥⚙️ It is very frustrating that there is no Gears of War E Day marketing happening right now I wish I had more to cover for content & to help build community engagement & hype but there must be a plan for why it looks like we may just have to wait until the Xbox Games Showcase in June for Gears of War Re-Emergence to finally begin, just a little more patience we are almost back Gears Fam! 🙏🤞⚙️

Ten years in the making, the final song of the entire series is ‘Heroes’ by David Bowie, one of music’s boldest innovators and most enduring visionaries. After the final scene of Series 5 Episode 8 plays, the show doesn’t jump to its typical credits sequence. Instead, it rolls into a nostalgic animated end-credits segment and lets Bowie’s “Heroes” play all the way through. The decision to end the show with the iconic track was suggested by actor Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington on the show and records music under the name Djo. Speaking to Netflix Tudum, the show’s co-creator Ross Duffer says, “Once Joe said that, we immediately knew that was the right song to end the show on because it is, in some ways, an anthem for Stranger Things. DAVID BOWIE ‘HEROES’ - THE POWERFUL & EVOCATIVE FINAL SONG IN THE SERIES FINALE OF NETFLIX’S STRANGER THINGS ‘HEROES’ IS AVAILABLE TO STREAM NOW ON PARLOPHONE: WATCH THE HD REMASTERED 'HEROES' VIDEO: New Year’s Day saw the broadcast on Netflix of the final episode of the phenomenally successful and critically lauded stranger things . Ten years in the making, the final song of the entire series is ‘Heroes’ by David Bowie, one of music’s boldest innovators and most enduring visionaries. After the final scene of Series 5 Episode 8 plays, the show doesn’t jump to its typical credits sequence. Instead, it rolls into a nostalgic animated end-credits segment and lets Bowie’s “Heroes” play all the way through. The decision to end the show with the iconic track was suggested by actor Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington on the show and records music under the name Djo. Speaking to Netflix Tudum, the show’s co-creator Ross Duffer says, “Once Joe said that, we immediately knew that was the right song to end the show on because it is, in some ways, an anthem for Stranger Things. To use the original Bowie version just felt right and fitting for the conclusion.” Initially released in September 1977, ‘Heroes’ is the title track of the second instalment of Bowie’s hugely influential ‘Berlin Trilogy’ of albums produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti and featuring Brian Eno. Recorded at Hansa Studios in West Berlin, which was situated only 150 metres away from the Berlin Wall and co-written with Eno, the song references the East German soldiers that could be seen from the studio’s control room and a love affair between a couple kissing in the shadow of the Wall. The song, which has become an iconic anthem, was recorded by Bowie in English, German and French and has been covered by artists such as Oasis, Prince, Coldplay, Yungblud, Lady Gaga, Arcade Fire, Smashing Pumpkins, Depeche Mode, Blondie, Neil Finn, Peter Gabriel, King Crimson, Bon Jovi, Motorhead, Miley Cyrus, Aurora, Moby, David Byrne & St Vincent and The Wallflowers, who took it into the US top 10. A decade after the 1977 release of ‘Heroes’, Bowie brought his Glass Spider Tour to Berlin during the Summer of 1987. He performed as part of a series of shows at the Reichstag, a poignant symbol of the divided city just metres away from the Wall. The concert was held near the border, where many East Berliners crowded along to listen to music forbidden by the Soviet government, allowing the two halves of the city to hear the same show, with ‘Heroes’ as the emotional highlight for both sides. Bowie later remarked, “We kind of heard that a few of the East Berliners might actually get the chance to hear the thing, but we didn’t realise in what numbers they would. And there were thousands on the other side that had come close to the wall. So it was like a double concert where the wall was the division. And we would hear them cheering and singing along from the other side. God, even now I get choked up. It was breaking my heart. I’d never done anything like that in my life, and I guess I never will again.” During the shows, the East German authorities cracked down on the fans, attacking them with water cannons and arresting hundreds. The shows helped change the mood around the Wall, which had stood for over a quarter of a century, and was now seen with renewed anger. Within two years, the Wall came down, and it has long been believed that the Concerts For Berlin were a turning point in the East. When Bowie died in 2016, the German Foreign Office confirmed as much by posting a live version of ‘Heroes’ on social media and declaring, ‘Good-bye David Bowie. You are now among #Heroes. Calgary Singh BUSTED With 170 lb of Cocaine at US-Canada Border Freed on $0 Bail Next Day Surj Singh Salaria, a Calgary-based commercial truck driver, is facing three serious criminal charges for attempting to traffic 170 pounds of cocaine into Canada from the United States through the Montana–Alberta Coutts border crossing on September 25, 2025. Hasn’t the last three years gone fast! The Pokedbots NFT collection was released three years ago on the ICP blockchain through the Entrepot marketplace. It features 10,000 robot characters that are part of the larger Delta City universe. It still holds the record for the largest one-day NFT launch sale on ICP. I want to say a big thanks to everyone who bought an NFT and been part of the project. The Pokedbots are grouped into various types, with certain ones being rarer than others. The ultimate master Pokedbots sold for 3,000 ICP, roughly $150,000 at the time, and will appear in an upcoming Pokedbots animation pilot. In 2022, we gifted all Pokedbots holders a Pet Bot NFT as a token of appreciation. These Pet Bots are also part of the Delta City universe. Additionally, we launched the Pixel Collection that year, featuring unique artworks by Jonathan Ball. In early 2023, we introduced the Gen2 Pokedbot NFTs. Users had the option to burn their Gen1 Pokedbots to receive a Gen2. The Gen2 designs are optimized for easier conversion into game characters, allowing the canister to hold multiple asset versions and source files. In 2024, we launched the alpha version of the Pokedbots online game, called Motoko Missions. Built on Unity and hosted on ICP, it leverages ICP's capabilities to select a user's game character based on the NFT they hold. In the game, players rescue Motoko ghost characters from hordes of killer robots. We are now working on the next update, which will expand the range of playable characters, introduce new weapons, improve game mechanics, and add support for additional wallets. Coming in 2025, the Pokedbots Delta City animation series pilot will debut, created in collaboration with Hollow Pixel Studios and funded partly by local government grants. The series will follow Ed and Fox on a journey of discovery after a mishap at a local energy drinks bar. Our goal is to expand the Pokedbots IP into a dynamic world that harnesses the power of the ICP blockchain, connecting NFTs with characters, games, and stories. Watch this space! join us at #icp
