Common sense has prevailed!! This was a bizarre application by the regulator... meanwhile we are being bombarded by telemarketers every freaking minute, when are they taking them to court... 😡🤬😡Nxxxaa

I accept the judgment but disagree. The Judge should have given some indication on whether matric results are private information. She should have also touched on the financial implications of releasing results: who is benefitting? Is someone paying someone for the results? Maybe these questions are for a different time, but I think the Judge should have at least asked some pertinent questions so that the public is aware of how this deal works.

I don’t know why the information regulator put up such a fight. Who buys newspapers these days anyway? Random people off the streets with no skin in the game won’t buy a newspaper just to see the results. Besides, aren’t the results pinned up with names at each school?

Students need to take their own decisions wether they want the results to be published or not then new papers then can print of those whom want them in the paper
