We have a million laws in this country. What we want to see is implementation and enforcement. - Hijacking buildings is illegal, but it happens with impunity. - Jumping the border is illegal, but it happens with impunity. - Land invasions are illegal, but they happen with impunity.

The DA is opposing the amendment of the bills because they’re hoping to be in power and do their own version of ‘cadre deployment’.

Accounting officers are also accountable to the Political head, there must be checks and balances on these laws to ensure that Accounting officers don't act against the political mandate of the political heads,who are by implication accountable to the president and the people.

I don’t think the DA opposed without giving reasons and that should make you know why they oppose it

I also oppose it. If the ANC loses power, it will make it extremely hard to fire the many incompetent ANC cadres who are running the civil service right now.
