BREAKING: NSA kept finished 2016 election-interference intel for 16 months in order to dodge the "deep state" label under Trump. A newly declassified 2020 memo from an NSA analyst drops a bombshell exposing the agency's own leadership blocked release of a long-ready report on foreign targeting of U.S. elections,... including 2016 details, not because the intel was bad, but because they feared it would brand NSA as part of the "deep state." On top of this, CISA, the CIA, the NSA, DHS, and the FBI all new of the foreign threats and the vulnerabilities in our election machines, but still certified them for use anyway and kept this information from Trump and the public. NSA Deputy Director George Barnes, in a March 2020 meeting, blocked release of the fuller report on foreign election targeting that began in 2014 and included 2016 activity. The reason? Fear that putting it out in the Trump-era climate, with an acting ODNI tasked to "clean house," would destroy NSA's remaining credibility as the one "nonpartisan, objective" intel agency not yet tarred as deep state. The report had been ready for proposed release as early as December 2018. Analytic work was finished on time, yet higher-ups sat on it for 16 months. An earlier, more limited version had already gone out. Leadership, including Director Gen. Paul Nakasone, objected to releasing it "as-is" and floated a watered-down summary or restricted sharing instead, which the analyst argued would still identify members of Congress, triggering Gates Procedures, and look selective/political. Some 2016 details were judged "sensational," requiring tighter distribution; the fuller version unavoidably contextually identified Congress members, even with names removed, in the context of the 2016 Democratic field, Clinton/Sanders. Broader IC politicization showed that China analysts allegedly suppressed or hid evidence of Chinese meddling in the 2020 election from Trump, one reportedly refused to send it to "that vulgarian in the Oval Office," leading to a downplayed majority assessment versus a minority view backed by then-DNI Ratcliffe. he memo itself was part of the evidence reviewed in the 2021 Intelligence Community Ombudsman report by Barry Zulauf that alleged politicization of foreign election-interference intelligence. John Solomon is reporting that the US Intelligence Committee had evidence in February of 2020 that China had breached US voter registration data and the government has been hiding it from us for 6+ years. The evidence has not been declassified, but Just the News obtained a document declassified by the Biden admin that referred to the findings. December 16, 2016. Obama does an hour long interview with NPR. The entire interview is stunning for a few reasons. 1. Almost everything Obama says is in direct contradiction to the intelligence report on the election that he had just recently received. The majority of this interview was spent discussing Russia's election interference to help Trump. We now know that Obama had just received a report informing him that did not happen. 2. It was extremely obvious throughout the entire interview that Obama was lying and that he knew the significance of what he was doing. 3. Obama finished the interview, left and returned to talk about a new "Intelligence Assessment" that would be dropping before Trump's inauguration. He was priming the media to be on the look out for the bogus report he had just asked for. It's impossible to overstate the magnitude of what Obama was doing during this interview. And of course he turned to NPR to help him do his dirty work.
