For all the acts of love that occur every day, the reality is the world is also a terrible and violent place - with evil people - and evil groups of people - who do evil things for the sake of evil No fine idea of universal brotherhood and compassion undoes the inherent cruelty and irrationality that is also part of evolution and the human condition Too many people - particularly those that lean left - will not engage with the shadow that exists between their ideas and reality Psychos like this person on a bus, or Islamic terrorists like Hamas, commit evil because they want to and because they like it The only thing that stops evil people is force Not love.
