BREAKING: President Tinubu has signed a bill creating the North-Central Development Commission (NCDC). The Senate President, Senator Godswill Akpabio, announced the signing of the bill today in the Senate chamber.

Without real benefits for the people such as job creation, infrastructure, security, and economic stability this could just be another bureaucratic body consuming resources without real impact. If the government is serious about development, it should prioritize policies that directly improve citizens' lives, not just create commissions that may become avenues for political appointments and mismanagement. Asiwaju should focus on real governance improving security, boosting agriculture, investing in education, and creating jobs. Without these, setting up commissions won’t change anything.

Senator Wyden: " We are in an arms race on clean energy with them. Are you going to be on the side of people who want to unravel this?" Treasury secretary nominee Scott Bessent: " China will build a hundred new coal plants this year. Senator Wyden. There is not a clean energy race. There is an energy race. China will build 10 nuclear plants this year."

With the proliferation of these development commissions, I hope attention can now shift to seeing how they can be efficiently managed and how their impacts are felt by the people. They shouldn't continue to be the ATM of the political elites.

That's right! The development of every region now rightly lies in the hands of each region. Give us mega cities, super cities and smart cities in their numbers. I love it this way!

Good,the promise that APC made in 2015 is now fulfilled and i do hope the ministry of Regional Development will come up with effective and essential coordination to make these 6 commissions work for the People and not self serving.
