“Hamas has repeatedly rejected reasonable offers to make peace. We can’t forget October 7. Now, as if to encourage continued conflict, some [United Nations member States] seek to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state - this would be a reward for Hamas’ horrible atrocities - while they refuse to release the hostages or accept a ceasefire. [...] Instead of giving in to Hamas’ ransom demands those who want peace should unite with one message: Release the hostages now. Just release the hostages now.” Thank you 🇺🇸Mr President Donald J. President Trump at the UN just berated those who recognised Palestine and called it a “reward for these horrible atrocities”. He said the world should have been united in one message: “Release the hostages.” Absolutely correct.

Trump criticized countries that reward Hamas terrorists by recognizing Palestine "We can't forget October 7th. Now, as if to encourage continued conflict, some of this body is seeking to unilaterally recognize a Palestinian state. The rewards would be too great for Hamas terrorists for their atrocities."

European leaders should not reward Hamas with the prospect of recognizing a so-called “Palestinian state.” The pressure should be put on Hamas until all of the hostages are returned and Hamas is completely defeated.

Israel was attacked on October 7th. Its people were raped, murdered, and taken hostage. And yet, Israel is the one sending food and aid into Gaza. Hamas steals that aid, feasts in tunnels, and starves its own people to turn the world against Israel. Now they’re being rewarded with calls for a Palestinian state. The pressure should be on Hamas to surrender and release the hostages immediately.

"If those hostages aren't back...all hell will break out in the Middle East, and it will not be good for Hamas." President-elect Donald Trump refuses to rule out the use of military force to release the hostages held by Hamas.

The United States calls upon all countries to join together and say with one clear voice that Hamas must immediately surrender, release all the hostages – both those living and those who have already been murdered at the hands of Hamas – and allow this war to end. 🇺🇸 is actively working to support the secure delivery of humanitarian aid to civilians in Gaza.

Instead of recognizing Palestine as a state, countries should withdraw recognition of Israel. One of the conditions of being accepted into the UN is that member states should adhere to UN resolutions, and any country not abiding by UN resolutions, should be expelled from the UN.
