Lawyers vs Police in Varanasi A couple of days ago, a lawyer Shiv Pratap Singh was attacked and critically injured by a cop in Varanasi. The lawyer, with grevious injuries, was rushed to BHU trauma centre. Yesterday, a mob of lawyers attacked and brutally assualted a UP police sub-inspector Mithilesh Prajapati in the court premises. He was also rushed to the same hospital where lawyer is under medical observation.

Just like last year, when the Shree Ram Navami Processions came under attack at Dalkhola, Rishra & Serampore due to the lack of intent of Mamata Police, this year as well Mamata Police failed to protect the Ram Bhakts. A peaceful Ram Navami Procession, which had all the due permission from the Administration, was attacked by miscreants at Saktipur; Beldanga - II Block; Murshidabad.
