Clear all the storm drains. This used to never happen but when the drains are clogged it won't stop. They'll scream climate change but we know better.

Thats happens everytime there is a torrential downpour on that expressway, and the cross island parkway. We live on an island that’s elevation is at sea level and when it rains that hard its makes all the body’s of water rise and the drainage can’t keep up. Is your next report going to be about the subway system is flooded too.

There were flooding alerts all day long. What were these drivers doing?

After a previous flooding event earlier this year I saw @NYC_DOT and private contractors cleaning the sewer drains on the Clearview. I guess it wasn't enough or the system just wasn't designed to handle the amount of rain that came down today.

Good!! Everyone was warned about FLASH FLOODING! Should have stayed home!

This is the perfect opportunity to go on Amazon and buy a 24 hour bag with essentials and keep it in your car at all times. With food, water and some small essentials you can comfortably camp out in your vehicle overnight and be just fine. Without it you’re miserable.

I will guarantee that the storm drains are clogged and the government authority responsible for routine maintenance has no schedule for cleaning the drains. They will claim, It was just cleaned but the paperwork has been misplaced however a full investigation is planned.
