🚨#BREAKING: Samaritan's Purse has just released its documentary film on Hurricane Helene in #WNC. It's called, "The Storms of Life." The film shares some of the most harrowing stories of survivors of the storm and how Samaritan's Purse volunteers stepped up to help everyone.

I have seen Samaritan's Purse literally everywhere in Western North Carolina. I saw them two days ago still here, still working, 3 months later. Could not be more impressed with an organization, and I'm not even religious... they just 100% come through when you need them to.

The guy in charge of Samaritans purse is on the board for Montreat College. When he heard the students there (my daughter included) ran out of water on that Friday he called his contacts and had a Coca Cola truck with 10k bottles of water brought in to Montreat within hours.

I’ve been following this since day one this is the most horrific incident I’ve ever seen in my life. Samaritans purse has been extremely helpful to those affected by the hurricane.

Samaritan's Purse has done amazing work. All of the NGOs that stepped up to help have. FEMA has been an impediment to helping people. It may be best if they did not exist.

The difference is clear, and it’s not the Government or its NGOs that are saving the people of North Carolina!

This is the single biggest natural disaster in a populated area in the history of the United States that I am aware of. They still need help and will for years. Samaritans purse was in Western North Carolina the day after Helene. It was about a week before FEMA showed up in major cities like Asheville. They did not show up in remote areas. Volunteers immediately came with their privately owned helicopters, and one man with a long line of donkeys loaded with supplies for areas in which even helicopters could not was volunteers that got donated water, food, necessities to people cut off without roads or bridges for access. The need is still overwhelming and will be for many years. The flood took the lives of friends and family, many complete homes, trucks, cars, and absolutely everything that people owned. The the Amish came from Pennsylvania and built tiny homes where they brought all their own materials and did the work. West Virginia coal miners brought their heavy equipment and built a temporary road in between Chimney Rock and Bat Cave so residents could get to food, water and find their dead. Most recently Lowes partnered with builders in NC to provide 100 tiny homes just before Christmas. Volunteers built the homes to code. There are still people in hotels and some in tents. Help in anyway that you can. Matt Van Swol should be commended for his work to keep focus on this disaster.
