That's why I voted for a clean, nonpartisan continuing resolution to fund the government, and it's why I'm co-leading legislation to pay all of our federal employees and servicemembers who continue to work without pay. Ms. Willie has been a federal contractor for 44 years at the Library of Congress. During the shutdown she and her fellow UNITE HERE members joined me for lunch at my office. They missed paychecks during Republicans' government shutdown & had to find other ways to keep her bills paid.
