I truly appreciate the support from my community and all those standing with me. I welcome the initiative to mobilize people from my community. At the same time, I urge our coordinators on the ground to engage with other communities in the areas as well, so that after connecting with my own community, I can also meet and listen to members of other communities. Throughout my political journey, I have been supported by people from all tribes and communities across Kenya. We must reject tribal politics and embrace politics that unites all Kenyans. That said, I am proud to be a Kamba and I will always support my community. Equally, I will support all other communities across our beloved Republic of Kenya in every way God has blessed me.

The Blue Revolution - new hope for our people The Blue Revolution is holding its congress in Ethiopia, and it gives me new hope. Our youth from all over the world have united, because they know that change must happen now. I wish you all the best and want to remind you that you are not alone. We are with you, every step of the way. I know that your voices will be heard all the way home, to our beloved Eritrea. An Eritrea where our people suffer in silence, not only the youth but also our parents, siblings and all who dream of freedom and justice. The road to get there will not be easy. I want to be incredibly clear…if we don’t take a stand to protect our LGBTQIA+ community…those who are trying to dismantle the very heart of this country will not stop. Their targets are vulnerable community after vulnerable community… well we are not vulnerable when we all stand together; when we stand for each other. This is the strength they underestimate. This is the strength that will enable us to persevere and overcome.

We are going to build this... A new campus for our private, Christian, Afrikaans institution of higher learning, OnsAkademia, architecturally inspired by Rome, Athens and Jerusalem. Despite all the reasons to despair in South Africa, the Afrikaners have learned that the way forward is through community institutions, community involvement, rediscovering who we are and where we come from, and knowing where we're going. Our culture sprouts from Western civilisation and our future is in Africa. We have lived here for nearly four hundred years. It is here, in Africa, where we have developed our unique culture, language and history. Our attachment and commitment to Africa is the reason why we named our language, Afrikaans, and our nation, the Afrikaners, after the continent. Our community will have a future, not because we're asking the government to take care of us, but because we are creating one ourselves, regardless of whether the government is on board or not. Against this backdrop, we seek mutual recognition and respect with other communities, and we are eager to work together on issues of mutual agreement with whoever is interested, even if there are also some issues on which we disagree.

Olympian Amber Glenn has spoken out about supporting the LGBTQ+ community under the Trump administration. Glenn, who identifies as pansexual, recently announced that she is taking a break from social media following backlash for speaking out against the Trump administration. At a press conference for the Winter Olympics on February 4, Glenn said: "It's been a hard time for the community overall under this administration. It isn't the first time that we've had to come together as a community and try and fight for our human rights." She continued: "And now, especially, it's not just affecting the queer community but many other communities. And I think that we are able to support each other in a way that we didn't have to before. And, because of that, it's made us a lot stronger." On using her platform to speak about LGBTQ+ rights, she said: "I know that a lot of people say you're just an athlete, like, stick to your job, shut up about politics... but politics affect us all. It is something that I will not just be quiet about, because it is something that affects us in our everyday lives." Glenn finished by saying: "As a community, we are strong and we support each other and brighter days are ahead of us"
