I truly appreciate the support from my community and all those standing with me. I welcome the initiative to mobilize people from my community. At the same time, I urge our coordinators on the ground to engage with other communities in the areas as well, so that after connecting with my own community, I can also meet and listen to members of other communities. Throughout my political journey, I have been supported by people from all tribes and communities across Kenya. We must reject tribal politics and embrace politics that unites all Kenyans. That said, I am proud to be a Kamba and I will always support my community. Equally, I will support all other communities across our beloved Republic of Kenya in every way God has blessed me.

I want to be incredibly clear…if we don’t take a stand to protect our LGBTQIA+ community…those who are trying to dismantle the very heart of this country will not stop. Their targets are vulnerable community after vulnerable community… well we are not vulnerable when we all stand together; when we stand for each other. This is the strength they underestimate. This is the strength that will enable us to persevere and overcome.

Olympian Amber Glenn has spoken out about supporting the LGBTQ+ community under the Trump administration. Glenn, who identifies as pansexual, recently announced that she is taking a break from social media following backlash for speaking out against the Trump administration. At a press conference for the Winter Olympics on February 4, Glenn said: "It's been a hard time for the community overall under this administration. It isn't the first time that we've had to come together as a community and try and fight for our human rights." She continued: "And now, especially, it's not just affecting the queer community but many other communities. And I think that we are able to support each other in a way that we didn't have to before. And, because of that, it's made us a lot stronger." On using her platform to speak about LGBTQ+ rights, she said: "I know that a lot of people say you're just an athlete, like, stick to your job, shut up about politics... but politics affect us all. It is something that I will not just be quiet about, because it is something that affects us in our everyday lives." Dear Local Government Chairmen and Councilors across Nigeria…….when will community building stop being an afterthought? I saw a park in my community here in the Uk 🇬🇧 , and I don’t think you need much to recreate something similar. The whole play ground is less than two plots of land, safe playgrounds, sports areas all from council tax. Why is ‘no community’ normal here? Our kids deserve more than just school. As Sam Adeyemi said, to change Nigeria, we need those who’ve seen better. I do t want to believe that you all think that community building is all about sharing rice …
