NEW: Rider transfer 6’9” 235lb big Tariq Ingraham is set to visit Memphis this week, his agent tells me. Averaged 10.9 PTS 7 REB + 1.5 AST on 54.2% FG shooting last year for Rider. Ingraham just recently received a waiver to be immediately eligible for the 2025-26 season. He is a solid low-post scoring threat with good footwork and touch around the rim. He uses his physicality really well inside and would provide immediate help at the big spot for Memphis.

NEWS: Iowa transfer 6’7” wing Seydou Traore tells me these schools have been involved recently: Memphis Kansas State Villanova UNLV Georgetown LSU West Virginia Traore is a really bouncy wing that is tough around the rim (66% FG) and is a good, natural cutter. Good lateral athleticism / strength combination that allows him to guard the 3-4 really effectively. Still coming into his shot, but looked more comfortable last year. Like the physical tools a lot, so upside is definitely there. Averaged 5.9 PTS and 3 REB on 44/27/64 shooting splits in 17 minutes per game last season at Iowa. Averaged 10 PPG 12.2 REB and 2.6 BLK last season. Mbole is a force around the rim, with over 86.7% of FG around the rim (finishing 64% FG at the rim). Rebounds the ball extremely well (4.1 OREB per game). On the other side of the ball, he has a high motor and protects the rim really well. Doesn’t have much of a game outside of the paint, however, his game is needed and fits well at most schools. Most scouting websites have him slotted as a MM level big. Gillespie also has the ability to stretch the floor from three. On the defensive end Gillespie is a strong rim protector and he’s also a skilled passer for his height.

Here’s a look at new Memphis 6’7” wing Tylik Weeks. - 99th percentile in USG% (30%) - 99th percentile in FTA per game (8.0 FTA) - 92nd percentile in FT% (82.3%) Production was there last year scoring 19+ a game. Shooting numbers were inefficient, mostly due to taking a very high amount of tough shots (81.4% of jumpers OTD). Touch is definitely there though (82.3% FT), and that’s a big indicator of shooting abilities. So, I wouldn’t worry too much about his shooting splits from last season. A lot to like about Weeks’ game. A huge pickup on the wing, and it gives Memphis more than 1 creator on the court… something that they didn’t have the luxury of having last year.

Have loved the sophomore campaign of Andrej Stojakovic at Cal. Averaging 20.1 PTS on the season with eight games of 20+, four games of 25+, and two 30 point games. Finishing 64.2% at the rim in the half court, 37% from three, and 83% from the line on 7.1 FTA per game. Really smooth offensive game. Plays with great pace and really crafty out of ball screens. Comfortable shooting it off the bounce, needs to become more consistent shooting it off the catch. Think he’s a capable playmaker who see the floor pretty well. Has played himself into draft convos.
