With a successful payload deployment, Starship is now the heaviest lift rocket to deploy payloads in space ever. It is also the lowest cost per ton payload capable rocket even without reuse of the upper stage. Said differently, tonight’s launch demonstrates everything required for Starship to be a financially viable launch vehicle, thus guaranteeing its success! Upper stage reusability will further drive down costs but is not critical for the Starship program to be profitable. Way to go SpaceX team!
