Democrats are coming out in droves to oppose the SAVE Act, and have resorted to calling it a "poll tax." The SAVE Act makes it so people have to show proof they are U.S. citizens, like a passport or birth certificate, to register to vote in federal elections. It also requires states to check that voters are citizens and remove non-citizens from voter lists. That is not a poll tax. Plain and simple.
