If I am President: Director of WAEC Nigeria- sack Minister of Education- sack Principal of that school - sack Whoever was in charge of WAEC in that state - sack If they had sacked the ones who did same thing in 2003, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2011, 2014, 2016, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023, by now we would have cured that disease permanently. But in Nigeria we continue to rinse and recycle madness and failures decades after decade!

Breaking: OLANREWAJU FADEHAN, the current Head of Examinations at the WAEC office in Awka, Anambra State, has openly acknowledged and confessed the many issues surrounding the 2026 WAEC examinations, including some of the factors that led to mass failures among students who legitimately sat for the exams. We will get to the root of this. Our students, who have worked hard for years, deserve justice, and we will ensure they get it. It is a big shame that WAEC has allowed these failures to put the futures of our children at risk.

Apparently, the police officers were chasing suspected yahoo boys at Gbagi. When they couldn’t catch them. They resorted to shooting their tyres. One of the bullets went straight and hit a 14yr old boy, sitting in the car with his dad and twin brother, waiting for the traffic light to turn green, as they were going to their WAEC exam centre. They rushed him to a clinic where he was declared dead upon arrival. Agitated youths took the corpse to the state secretariat in Agodi, for governor Seyi Makinde’s intervention. The incident happened on Gbagi market road in Egbeda, Ibadan. No official press statement has been released. The body has now been deposited at Adeoyo Morgue. I would strongly recommend that the Federal Government urgently investigate what is happening at WAEC Nigeria. The current HNO has been accused of embezzling over ₦2 billion from the most recent examination. Blind students have still not received their results, while the admission window is closing. Many students are suffering because of WAEC’s technical glitches and internal crisis. The staff that challenged him has been suspended. This is terrible. The futures of our students are at stake.
