Yet New York City’s streets are covered in garbage while Mamdani spends taxpayer money on costly experiments. If government cannot keep the streets clean, what are families paying for? In Nassau County, my sound fiscal management earned seven Wall Street bond credit upgrades while I refused to raise county property or sales taxes. I proved government can control spending and deliver results. When I am Governor, I will cut waste, hold the line on taxes, and demand clean streets, safe neighborhoods, and basic services that work.

Brooklyn Council member Chi Ossé, who was arrested Wednesday while he said he was defending a constituent in an active deed theft dispute from eviction, told NY1 that Gov. Kathy Hochul should “implement a temporary stay on evictions for those who are dealing with pending deed theft cases.” According to the New York State Attorney General’s office, deed theft happens when the title to a home is taken without the homeowner’s knowledge or consent, often through forgery or deception. NY1 has reached out to the governor’s office for comment.
