If the injection fails, can the inmate just walk free? Technically, the gov performed its death ritual but the ritual failed. That’s not on the death row inmate, that’s on the gov. Personally, I think double jeopardy should apply here with failed death rituals

Lead injections are pretty much fool proof. And a second dose can be administered quickly if needed, so also more humane.
