BREAKING: Tesla roadster unveil 10/1 Waco Texas

It’s time. I think the technology is ready for the unveil of the new roadster. Can’t help but think back to the Louisiana starbase announcement in the SpaceX video just a few weeks ago. “-We know how to make the rockets. -We know how to make the rockets at rate. -We know what the rocket needs and how to make the things that the rocket needs. -We can put all of that together to fly thousands of times. -But none of that matters if you don’t have a place to do it. -We are in southern Louisiana on the Gulf Coast in Vermilion Parish… and we’re here to build a spaceport.” It feels like Tesla and spacex have laid all the groundwork for this point where FSD, starship, starlink, manufacturing, factories etc. The products and services exist and iterations can be made. Yes, incremental improvements can alwaysbe made. That brings me to The Algorithm Elon uses 1. Question every requirement. Who made it? Why? Can it be deleted? 2. Delete any part or process you can. If you don’t add ~10% back later, you didn’t delete enough. 3. Simplify and optimize what’s left. Don’t optimize something that shouldn’t exist. 4. Accelerate cycle time. Speed of iteration beats a perfect plan. 5. Automate last. Automating a bad process cements the waste. It seems as though we are close to accelerating. We can see many version 3s. SpaceX has raptor 3, starship/super heavy 3, starlink v3. Tesla CyberCab could be v3 if thought of as a transformation from early EVs (Cybertruck v2 alien tech, 48v architecture) built for simplicity and optimization. Optimus gen 3 on the horizon. Once these products and services accelerate. Optimus can optimize and automate. The future of manufacturing and automation will bring with it the amazing abundance. Tesla unveiled original roadster and SpaceX had its first flight in 2006. It’s been 20 years to build out the foundation we see today. The next 20 years could be drastically different for the better if we work together on common goals. Congrats to all the employees involved for making a difference. Thank you. Bit of a rant John, I know, but these are my current thoughts.
