The Cirrus SR20 aircraft called Mayday with two people on board just after 1030 this morning over the moors between Manchester and Huddersfield this lunchtime, where air traffic control asked him to emergency land at Leeds Bradford Airport and then Crossland Moor Airfield at Huddersfield. Its is believed the light aircraft crashed before reaching either airfield. Emergency services are now searching the area close to Hollingworth Lake for the aircraft and its occupants.
