The regime has failed. Pan-turkism is dead in Iran and has no real presence. Let’s be clear: The IRGC is not Iran’s regular military. It is the Ayatollahs’ private army. They’re a radical Islamist force created to protect the regime, not the Iranian people. The police officers, soldiers, and pilots are not necessarily part of the regime. They may be the best hope for shifting the balance of power and over throwing the regime because the people of Iran are not armed.
