In the past, given the seniority of those killed, he would have likely presided over a large funeral or at least prayed over their bodies outside his office. Not here. Security concerns are likely forcing him to still remain underground. Notably, the new commander-in-chief of the IRGC Mohammad Pakpour was not at the funeral procession. Ditto for the new chief of staff of Iran's Armed Forces Abdolrahim Mousavi. Again, as in Khamenei, security concerns and paranoia are likely running wild. Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, speaker of parliament, looks incognito with the mask and hat on. Pre-12 Day War, he never dressed like that for public events like this. Security concerns here likely abound. Notably, the regime felt comfortable enough for IRGC-QF commander Esmail Ghaani to be out in public, no mask at all. Araghchi was also there.
