People often look at the Ukraine war, especially the battle of Hostomel airport, and claim helicopter air assaults are outdated. However, the major problem with Hostomel, was the lack of constant and accurate air support from the Russian air force. If the attacking side has air superiority and constant air support, then helicopter air assaults are extremely useful.
