It started with an announcement that would change everything. From the podium at HHS headquarters in Washington D.C., FDA Commissioner Marty Makary made it official: the United States will fully phase out petroleum-based food dyes by the end of next year. A policy many thought was impossible—now etched in to history. And for the MAHA movement, it’s a defining victory. Makary stepped forward with a dose of honesty that’s been missing in public health for decades. “There is no one ingredient that accounts for the child chronic disease epidemic,” he began. “And let’s be honest. Taking petroleum-based food dyes out of the food supply is not a silver bullet that will instantly make America’s children healthy. But it is one important step.” He didn’t sugarcoat the crisis. “This administration is not interested in continuing down the path of doing the same old things as we watch our nation’s children get sicker. We need fresh new approaches.” Makary called out the alarming spike in cancer and diabetes in kids—conditions that used to be unheard of. “Cancer and diabetes in young people is going up at an alarming rate and nobody seems to know why. We have to turn our attention to underlying causes such as chemicals and toxins that children are exposed to. Not just more insulin and chemotherapy.” Then came the truth bomb that drew murmurs across the room: “And let’s not forget that the best way to lower drug prices is to stop taking drugs we don’t need.” He said the quiet part out loud—and then he laid out the FDA’s plan: “Number 1: Establishing a national standard and timeline for the food industry to transition from petroleum-based food dyes to natural alternatives.” “Number 2: Initiating a process to revoke authorization of synthetic food colorings—including those not in production, namely Citrus Red No. 2 and Orange B—within the coming weeks.” “And number 3: Taking steps to eliminate the remaining six synthetic dyes from the U.S. food supply—specifically Red Dye No. 40, Yellow Dye No. 5, Yellow Dye No. 6, Blue Dye No. 1, Blue Dye No. 2, and Green Dye No. 3—by the end of next year.” The crowd knew what they were witnessing: a system finally cracking open—and exposing the truth.

The FDA created a loophole for “no artificial colors” on new food packaging “Have you noticed this at the grocery store lately, more packages are labeled ‘No artificial colors,’ so that must mean it's healthier, right? Not exactly” “Before, if a product had a label that said no artificial colors, it meant just that no added colors. But under a new policy by the FDA, only a specific group of dyes are considered artificial Petroleum-based dyes like red-40, yellow-5 and blue-2. Any other sort of added color gets a pass So that means ingredients like titanium dioxide can still be in the food. It's a synthetic whitening agent used to brighten foods like candies and cheeses. And by the way, it's banned as a food additive in the European Union. Consumer advocates say this new policy can mislead and confuse consumers because products can contain synthetic color additives and be labeled no artificial colors as long as they don't contain any petroleum-based dyes” The FDA created this new policy, the agency announced it would exercise enforcement discretion on voluntary “no artificial colors” - Previously “No artificial colors” generally meant no added colors at all (natural or synthetic) - Now manufacturers can use the “no artificial colors” claim on products that contain no petroleum-based certified color additives. Other added colors, including some synthetic or non-certified one, get a pass under this policy

Secretary Kennedy & Experts Expose How Big Food is Poisoning America – The Shocking Truth Behind 10,000 Chemical-Laced Ingredients 🚨 "In Europe, they have 400 ingredients in their food. In America? 10,000—most of them BANNED overseas. Why? Because Big Food is addicting us, poisoning our kids, and prioritizing profits over people." – Secretary Kennedy 🔴 The Problem: - Chemical Dyes: U.S. Froot Loops are loaded with petroleum-based dyes (banned in Canada & Europe). Same brand, same company—Kellogg’s—but American kids get the toxic version. - Addictive Engineering: Big Tobacco giants (R.J. Reynolds & Philip Morris) bought food companies in the 90s and weaponized their addiction science. Now, ultra-processed foods are designed to trick your brain, suppress fullness, and keep you eating. - Fake Flavors: Synthetic strawberry taste? Zero nutrients. Your body craves more, never satisfied, driving obesity & disease. - Softened Foods: They add chemicals so you chew less—your brain thinks you’re starving, making you overeat. The Result: A nation sickened by pesticides, artificial junk, and engineered cravings while Europe & Canada eat cleaner, safer food. ✅ The Solution: The Maha Commission is taking action: - Banning toxic dyes in 2 years. - Forcing transparency on hidden additives. - Demanding real food, not lab-made addiction. This ends now. Share if you refuse to let corporations poison our families for profit.
