Tucker on Viktor Bout on his show: "You're a very wise man, I'm not ashamed to say that out loud." As Tucker and Viktor Bout praised Vladimir Putin while repeating numerous disputed and, in several cases, demonstrably false or unsubstantiated claims about Ukraine. Bout was convicted in 2011 on four counts arising from a DEA sting operation: -Conspiracy to kill U.S. citizens. -Conspiracy to kill U.S. officers and employees. -Conspiracy to provide material support to a designated foreign terrorist organization (the FARC). -Conspiracy to acquire and export anti-aircraft missiles. He was sentenced to 25 years in U.S. federal prison. However, Bout served only about 10 years before being released in a prisoner swap for Brittney Griner in December 2022.
