Good News: Minnesota Stabilizing President Trump’s Border Czar Tom Holman held a press conference this morning and acknowledged that while DHS have carried out targeted enforcement, “DHS got away from that" here in Minnesota. Homan added that "President Trump wants this fixed and I'm going to fix it." Great! That's been our position all along, that the police state tactics of ICE have been the problem since the beginning. Those tactics were the catalyst for pushback from the very start of the ICE campaign, and became the focus of international attention when Renee Good was shot -- an event which triggered many Minnesotan citizens to go on defense with their whistles and cameras, including the late Alex Pretti. The fact that Alex Pretti was actively trying to push back against the police state tactics of ICE was never disputed. He wanted ICE out because, as he and so many Minnesotans saw it, masked up federal agents dressed for war represented an undeclared war against Minnesota itself. Earlier video of Pretti pushing back hard against ICE in no way reduces the injustice of what ultimately happened to him, regardless of whether you agreed with his resistance or not. Good News: Minnesota Stabilizing President Trump’s Border Czar Tom Holman held a press conference this morning and acknowledged that while DHS have carried out targeted enforcement, “DHS got away from that" here in Minnesota. Homan added that "President Trump wants this fixed and I'm going to fix it." Great! That's been our position all along, that the police state tactics of ICE have been the problem since the beginning. Those tactics were the catalyst for pushback from the very start of the ICE campaign, and became the focus of international attention when Renee Good was shot -- an event which triggered many Minnesotan citizens to go on defense with their whistles and cameras, including the late Alex Pretti. The fact that Alex Pretti was actively trying to push back against the police state tactics of ICE was never disputed. He wanted ICE out because, as he and so many Minnesotans saw it, masked up federal agents dressed for war represented an undeclared war against Minnesota itself. Earlier video of Pretti pushing back hard against ICE in no way reduces the injustice of what ultimately happened to him, regardless of whether you agreed with his resistance or not.
