Only 4% of Americans had a great deal of confidence in Jerome Powell to do the right thing for the economy (Gallup). If Powell ran for office, he’d be thrown out overnight because he's done an awful job. If the President can fire the Secretary of Defense or the Secretary of the Treasury, he should absolutely be allowed to fire the Fed Chair if the Fed Chair is not doing a good job.
