The federal charges against Alistair MacFarlane Sidener are not yet known, but he had been convicted at the state level for his role in an Antifa Inauguration attack in downtown Portland in January. He was sentenced to only one day in jail. Having faced no real consequence, Sidener returned to rioting with his comrades.
