The Ts used mosque loudspeakers to announce their presence and attempted to intimidate residents by claiming they would maintain control of the area for several days. Acting on credible intelligence, Security forces launched a precision operation supported by advanced surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities. The terrorists were tracked and engaged before they could carry out their planned attacks. At first light, security forces moved in with a carefully coordinated strategy while ensuring the safety of civilians. Facing intense pressure, the terrorists abandoned their positions and retreated into a nearby school building, from where they opened fire on advancing troops.
