Witkoff is out of control. He needs to be removed. This post as special envoy to the Middle East is far too sensitive for what appears to be a rank amateur. I gave him the benefit of the doubt for being stuck with the “Biden plan” prior to Trump’s inauguration. As Witkoff presided on behalf of the US over one bad deal after another that goodwill was rapidly eroded. The conditions of hostages returned was what I thought was the last straw. Seeing the Bibas family returned in coffins even thought they were murdered over a year ago was yet another “last straw”, or so I hoped. Seeing streets in Israel lined with flag waving Israelis as Ohad Yahalomi, the cousin of a friend’s niece by marriage was taken to his final resting place, a hostage also murdered in captivity became the absolute last straw, I hope. As for Qatar, it is the ultimate wolf in sheep’s clothing, funding Hamas, giving safe harbor to Hamas leadership and negotiating in bad faith, not as an impartial mediator but as an agent for Hamas. Like Hamas, Qatari leadership are terrorists who work overtime to give the appearance of clean hands. They are not. YOU CANNOT NEGOTIATE WITH TERRORISTS.

Hamas is a terrorist organization that uses violence and intimidation to achieve its goals, it's delusional to think they can be reasoned with. Their actions speak louder than words, and their hatred for Israel and the West is well-documented, we should not be naive about their intentions.
