JUST IN: two suspects have been detained after a felony traffic stop on the Beltway at the Dulles Access Road in Tysons Corner, Virginia. They were traveling in a white Mercedes and are believed to be involved in the shooting a few minutes ago in Bailey’s Crossroads. [ONE KILLED AND ANOTHER INJURED BY A MOB IN A STOCKTHEFT RELATED INCIDENT] Police at Verena are investigating a stock theft related incident whereby two male persons were reportedly cornered and assaulted by an unidentified group of people after being reportedly found with livestock believed to have been stolen. One of the alleged suspects died whilst the other one sustained some injuries. The incident occurred in Verena on Wednesday, 24 December 2024. According to a report, Police as well Medical Emergency Services were called to the scene, and it was during this period when one of the men was pronounced dead, while the other was taken to the hospital for treatment. He is currently hospitalized under Police guard. The incident is believed to be linked to stocktheft incident, where 26 cattle, six goats, and a donkey were reportedly stolen from a certain farm in Verena. The Police investigation indicates that a shepherd was attacked earlier that day then robbed of an undisclosed amount of cash. Thereafter, the suspects are believed to have fled the scene in two bakkies with trailers when their vehicles got stuck in the mud, leading to their capture and attack by the mob. Two bakkies were also torched during the incident.

Six suspects were shot dead and one was arrested on the “Military Road.” Police seized two vehicles (one hijacked) and four firearms and ammunition. The NDC remains disturbingly silent as if everything is fine in their World Bank. They refuse to speak up for the good people of Agavedzi, Amutinu, and Salakorpe. However, if this were an NPP administration, the NDC would be shouting at the top of their lungs and making all sorts of insinuations. The silence of the NDC leadership in the Volta Region is deafening. The indifference shown by the Volta Parliamentary Caucus amounts to a betrayal and disservice to the people of the Volta Region, who, against all odds, chose to put their political future in the hands of the NDC. While I blame President Mahama for the inaction thus far, my disappointment is with the NDC leaders in the Volta Region, including the MPs. They are responsible for the suffering of Agavedzi, Amutinu, and Salakorpe because of their lack of advocacy. To whom much is given, much is expected... These videos and pictures were taken today.
