MK Party lays complaint against NDPP Shamila Batohi The uMkhonto weSizwe Party (MKP) has formally lodged a complaint with the Investigating Directorate Against Corruption (IDAC), requesting an investigation into the conduct of National Director of Public Prosecutions Shamila Batohi and others. The complaint relates in particular to Batohi’s handling of matters linked to the 2010 killing of 16-year-old Kwazi Ndlovu, which surfaced during the ongoing Nkabinde Inquiry into prosecutorial fitness. MKP Member of Parliament Des van Rooyen submitted the complaint, alleging that Batohi’s actions may constitute interference with the administration of justice and the improper exercise of prosecutorial authority. The party is calling for accountability through a formal investigation.
