So take it for what you will, Harry Enten was back on TV this morning with one that I feel like would be in your face. He said I was shocked to see how the DEMs have gained on party I.D., leading by seven points versus tie the start of the year, looks a lot more like 2018 cycle than 2022.

With this shutdown, it would be wrong if the Republicans did that, it’s wrong now. We need to reopen this. As a Democrat, 42 million Americans are food insecure. That’s at the very core of the kinds of people we really need to protect. Every union connected to this shutdown is calling for it to end. If we’re fighting for working families, why don’t we agree with them and just do this?
