Achilles’ lament for his friend Patroclus is described by Homer in a unique way. Of course, the movie didn’t show it. So here is what actually happened: Patroclus' body was burned on a great pyre, and his ashes were placed in an urn that was given to Achilles to keep in his tent. Achilles even requested that when he himself died, Patroclus' ashes be mixed with his own remains so that the two friends would be buried together for eternity. The ceremonies ended with funeral games in honor of the dead. In these, Achilles offered many and valuable prizes as the organizer. In the end, he even declared Agamemnon the winner in the spear fight. Briseis, in her lament over Patroclus' body, weeps as she remembers him and mentions that he was so kind while alive that he told her he would make her the lawful wife of Achilles and bring her to Phthia. In the Iliad, Book 19 (T), lines 295-300 we read: "You alone would not let me weep, and you used to say that you would make me the lawful wife of Achilles, and bring me to Phthia to celebrate the wedding among the Myrmidons who dwell there; for this kindness of yours I weep for you so bitterly." Achilles mourns and says that he hoped he alone would be killed in Troy and that Patroclus would return to Phthia and bring his son Neoptolemus to Phthia to show him the servants and the palace. Clearly, therefore, Achilles intended Patroclus to be the guardian of his child. In the Iliad, Book 19 (T), lines 315-330 we read: "Once, hapless one, you too, dear friend of my heart, would quickly and properly prepare a meal here, when the Achaeans were eager to bring much-lamented Ares against the horse-taming Trojans; now you lie dead, and the longing for you does not let me eat or drink, for I could not suffer a worse evil even if I heard that my old father had died, who is wasting away in Phthia with tears, missing such a son, while I remain far away, fighting the Trojans in a foreign land because of hated Helen; or that child of mine who is being raised in Scyros, the godlike Neoptolemus, if he still lives. I had another hope deep in my soul, that I alone would perish far from horse-breeding Argos here in Troy, and that you would return to Phthia and bring the child from Scyros in the ship and lead him with you and show him everything, my possessions, my servants, and the high palace." Friendship in Greece was a sacred institution protected by "Zeus Philios" (Zeus of Friendship). These two heroes were companions, fellow warriors, dear friends, and relatives.

Friendship in Greece was a sacred institution protected by "Zeus Philios" (Zeus of Friendship). These two heroes were companions, fellow warriors, dear friends, and relatives. The profound, non-sexual friendship between Achilles and Patroclus in Homer’s Iliad represents one of the highest ideals of masculine virtue in Western civilization: unbreakable loyalty, mutual sacrifice, shared excellence in battle, and deep emotional intimacy without eroticizing it. Their bond, rooted in kinship, mentorship, and heroic companionship, shows that men can love each other fiercely, mourn openly, fight side by side, and entrust each other with their legacy and children, all while remaining fully masculine warriors who also desire women. "And inside the tent the son of Peleus slept; beside him lay a woman whom he had taken from Lesbos, daughter of Phorbas, the beautiful Diomede. In another place Patroclus; and he too had beside him the fair-girdled Iphis whom the son of Peleus had given him, when he went up to Scyros, the city of Enyeus." (Iliad, Book 9 I, lines 660-670) Achilles sleeps erotically with the woman he took from Lesbos, daughter of Phorbas, the beautiful Diomede. On the other hand, in his tent Patroclus sleeps erotically with Iphis, whom Achilles gave him in Scyros. Preserving this archetype is vital because strong male friendships have historically built armies, nations, and civilizations; they foster trust, resilience, and purpose without reducing all intimacy to sexuality. The modern "gay" reinterpretation, seeks to sexualize such bonds precisely to undermine traditional masculine stereotypes, turning heroic brotherhood into just another form of romantic/sexual pairing, thereby weakening the cultural model of non-erotic male love that has inspired men for millennia. Their goal is to normalize homosexuality by claiming "it was always everywhere" and to undermine "heteronormative" readings of Western classics. Achilles and Patroclus are high-status, ultra-masculine warriors, perfect for subversion. Controlling the classics lets you reshape the civilizational narrative.

In the video, the singer and the lawmaker were sewn dancing together to the admiration of some of their friends. 2Baba later proceeded to present Osawaru with a ring after which they were locked in a long embrace. This comes just a day after 2Baba publicly confirmed his romantic relationship with Osawaru, setting social media abuzz. The revelation follows his recent separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, with the singer expressing his intention to take things further with Osawaru. Speculation about their relationship had been growing after 2Baba was seen at the Edo State Assembly and a video surfaced showing the two together at a Lagos club. Addressing the rumours, 2Baba took to Instagram on Tuesday to set the record straight. In the video, he said in part, “Allegedly, I have been seeing so many things, so many people coming up with their own false narratives and malicious nonsense after I posted that stuff that I posted. Yes, I posted what I posted. “Hon. Natasha has been dragged, she has been called all sorts of names, she has been labelled as a home breaker. “She is a young brilliant amazing woman and she had nothing to do with what is happening between me and Annie in our marriage. “Yes I love her, she is amazing, she is cool, I want to marry her.” --- Follow us for more breaking news and videos

Identity politics aren't bad. They're human. They're normal. They're inevitable. But for the sake of argument, let's play along and pretend that identity politics are inherently bad. Okay, where are we at in the scope of identity politics in America right now? Literally every group other than White people does identity politics. Now, do you believe for one second that you're going to stop every non-White group from doing identity politics? No, you don't. And virtually no “Conservative” talking head condemns identity politics for anyone other than White people. In fact, Most “Conservative influencers” of recent decades have heavily promoted identity politics for everyone other than White people, with the official GOP foremost among them. So in a world where it's a foregone conclusion that every non-White group will perpetuate identity politics, what good could it POSSIBLY do White people to continue being browbeaten and subverted into refusing identity politics? None. It will only get us further victimized, disenfranchised, and demographically decimated. If someone launches war on your nation, that's bad. But if you have no organized fighting force with which to respond - with which to take your own side in that war - then you're going to be destroyed. Fighting back doesn't make you bad. Taking your own side doesn't make you evil. Refusing to do those things, however, makes you weak. It makes you easy prey. The evildoer in this equation is the person who tells you that your survival instinct is evil, not you for exercising it. Until 1965, the United States was a ~90% White nation. That nation has been largely destroyed. The war on White America is ongoing, and we still have legions of influencers lecturing White people - and lecturing ONLY White people - about the evil of identity politics. They're telling the invaded nation that it's evil to raise an army to fight off the foreign invasion. They're a corner man blindfolding his boxer and tying his hands behind his back while assuring him that self-defense is evil and being beaten to death is a moral victory. “You just can't have a country of 350 million this diverse of just warring ethnicities because then it's just Rwanda.” He should have stopped after “You just can't have a country of 350 million this diverse.” That would be the correct observation of reality, and explain exactly why the powers that be have done all they can to “diversify” this country over the last 60 years - because they understood that “Diversity + Proximity = War,” and demographics are a main front in their War On White People. “And the people with the most force just kill the others.” Or, in the case of modern America, the people with the highest in-group preference dominate, the people allowed to pursue identity politics prosper, and the only group denied identity - White people - are preyed upon while being forced to fund all the above. Tucker Carlson famously said: “Whites are gonna be in the minority. You're gonna get people standing up and saying 'I represent White people!' And I'm gonna tell that person to fuck off.” The reason Whites are going to be in the minority - the reason White children are ALREADY a minority - is because Whites have been indoctrinated against the same identity politics that have been instilled in every other group. Yet still, every day, someone comes along and tells White people not to do identity politics. And to this, an ever-increasing number of us say; fuck off.

Napoleon studied Caesar. Caesar wept before a statue of Alexander. Alexander wanted to be Achilles. The greatest men the West ever produced were all trying to become the same Greek warrior... Alexander the Great kept a copy of the Iliad under his pillow. His tutor Aristotle had personally annotated an edition for him. According to Plutarch, when Alexander arrived at the ruins of Troy in 334 BC, he sacrificed at the tomb of Achilles and ran naked around it. He told the priests offering to show him Paris's harp that he had no interest in seeing the harp of a coward. "I would far rather see the lyre of Achilles," he said, "which he used to sing the glories of brave men." Three centuries later, in 69 BC, Julius Caesar was serving as quaestor in Spain when he stood in front of a statue of Alexander in the temple of Hercules at Cadiz. He was thirty-two: the same age at which Alexander had died, having already conquered most of the known world. Caesar wept. When his friends asked why, he answered, according to Plutarch: "Do you not think it is matter for sorrow that while Alexander, at my age, was already king of so many peoples, I have as yet achieved no brilliant success?" Eighteen centuries after that, Napoleon Bonaparte sat for his coronation portrait wearing a golden laurel wreath, modelled on the wreath of Julius Caesar. He carried with him on campaign the works of Plutarch and Caesar's own commentaries. Each of these men was reaching back, through the centuries, to the figure who came first. And that figure was a half-mortal Greek warrior who, when offered the choice between a long, quiet life and a short, glorious one, chose glory. The Greek name Akhilleus is most plausibly derived from akhos, meaning grief, and laos, meaning people. The grief of the people. The greatest hero of the Western imagination is not named for victory or for strength. He is named for sorrow... But that is the bargain: to choose greatness in the Achilles tradition is to choose a particular kind of suffering. Alexander died at thirty-two. Caesar was murdered by his closest friends. Napoleon ended his life on an island in the South Atlantic, looking at the sea. Each of them got what Achilles got: a name that has outlasted empires, and a life that was paid for in full. What drove the men who built Western civilization was not happiness. It was something older, deeper, and harder to name. The Greeks called it kleos: the glory that survives death. Achilles got there first. Three thousand years later, men are still trying to follow him... -- -- -- If you enjoyed this, I write a weekly newsletter read by over 50,000 people who love rediscovering the beauty of the past. This is crazy. American gives multiple examples of how he was denied employment with the federal government and state government because he was white. This isn’t a conspiracy theory, he is in lawsuits because of it “Let me tell you how great white privilege is. I'm highly educated, highly experienced in mediation law, and I applied to the federal government 160 times with 1 interview that I was interviewed by a African American woman and a Hispanic male in South Carolina — When I walked in for the interview, this is what happened. I walked in, sat down, an African woman came out, looked at me, didn't say a word to me, walked back into the office. Then when I went in for the interview, I sat down, and the African American woman and Hispanic male said, we want to thank you for coming in for the interview. And I said, well, I appreciate the opportunity. She goes, we're done. I mean, I said, what do you mean we're done? Don't you want to ask me any questions about my experience, my skills? Nope, we're done. That was it. That was my interview, of which I didn't get hired. They hired an African American woman with no experience, who was a former flight attendant, to take a job as a mediator. Unbelievable. Now, you want to talk about another? This is happening right now. I'm suing Lake County, Florida, for a DEI hire, which they made recently for the courthouse as a mediator. Now, get this. I have 40 years experience. I'm a white male, and I have degrees from Purdue in law and studied at Harvard and Pepperdine and Duke University, University of Missouri, University of Houston, so many universities. I have a lot of experience, worked with the U.S. department of justice and Homeland Security. Now, get this. Instead of hiring me with all my experience, they hire an Asian woman, 30 years old, demanding twice the salary that they wanted, and has no experience in law, no education in law, no experience as a mediator, that's a volunteer, and that's what they hired instead. DEI hired blatantly, and it was hired by a woman who is Indian and has a law degree from a California law school, which means it's not valid in Florida.” “So this is the type of people that are going on and trying to say white privilege. Oh, we get all these benefits. That is crazy. It is not true. And so get off this high horse about white privilege. It doesn't exist. We're more discriminated against than it used to be with African American people 50 years ago. So get off your high horse talking about white privilege.”
