The West Bengal government has gone completely bankrupt. Schemes like Rupashree and Samabyathi have been shut down, and Lakshmir Bhandar has also stopped functioning in several areas. Between 2014 and 2023, the Central Government provided nearly ₹30,000 crore to the state under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY). Yet, Mamata Banerjee is now diverting disaster management funds to give people only ₹1 lakh each to build houses! Each beneficiary must receive at least ₹3 lakh, and the state government must publish a transparent list showing how the ₹30,000 crore of central funds have actually been spent.
