Two experienced prosecitors out of the AGs office handled the Hoffman case, not Paxton, first trial came back with a hung jury (7-5). After the hung jury the prosecutors were left with three options – dismiss the case, negotiate a plea agreement or take the case to trial again, which would have required the victim to take the witness stand once more. The victim didn’t want to go through another trial. This was the plea deal….. take it up with the jury, Talarico you are a liar.
