These mothers, as she says some of them widowed, are facing displacement and uncertainty, with nowhere safe to... turn. A mother crying with load voice say: “Who will come to our rescue? Who will help us? We have thrown us out of our homes!” Afghan women and girls are already deprived of education, employment and fundamental freedoms. Now, more women and children are reportedly being forced from their homes, facing hunger, homelessness and despair. Where are the United Nations and international human rights organisations? Dear @DicarloRosemary, have you heard the heartbreaking cries of these mothers and children in Jalalabad and other part of Afghanistan? Look at their tears, their suffering and the documents in their hands as they plead for help. She say Taliban militants have taken their homes and property, leaving them homeless in the scorching heat. She says many of them are widows who have already lost their husbands, and thier children have gone days without food. How can the world ignore such suffering? Afghan women and girls are already denied education, employment and basic freedoms. Now, some are reportedly losing their homes as well. You have publicly spoken about meeting Taliban officials, but what about listening to these suffering women themselves? As a representative of the UN , how can you engage with Taliban officials while mothers and children are crying for help and struggling to survive? Where is humanity? Where is justice? This is a grave human rights crisis, raising urgent concerns about gender apartheid and crimes against humanity.
