That was a Netflix series, "Altered Carbon," and they had a "spoof booth" at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Vegas. Since we already know Netflix is a harbinger of predictive programming movies, I wouldn't be surprised if this tech exists and is being used. Having a booth at CES to promote the "series" seems a bit extreme. What an innovative way to keep divine consciousness trapped in the loosh farm.
