I'm seeing a lot of people saying it is just a bad upscaling instead of Gen AI, but it is indeed Gen AI animation. There are things going on in it that just don't make any sense for puppet animation. Here are some parts that make it clear, I slowed down the video so it's easier to notice the chunky parts. I checked the past ADs and it's possible to notice details (from an animator's POV) that are common and make sense for human work, so it was definitely a choice to use AI on this new AD

🚨ICE was just across the street from my house directly in front of a school that had children outside playing on the playground!!!Thanks to my neighbors who quickly took action and called me to alert me. Absolutely outrageous. For those of you who keep saying that this isn’t happening, shame on you. Our communities continue to get terrorized by ICE and we have innocent people who are being picked off our streets. I hope their kids were not across the street at the school watching this. It makes my blood boil when I see Latino men doing this “job” who are we as a society and how did we get here. ICE is not welcomed in my neighborhood or in Tucson! Know your rights, my friends. It only makes sense that he was at the game. But here's the best part: He went there to hate watch LeBron. And that was the game where LeBron hit the game winning tip at the buzzer. Imagine going to a game to hate watch a player and they end up hitting a buzzer beater to beat your hometown team. He must have been SICK. You CAN'T make this shit up.

Usually I don’t speak on political issues often however Charlie Kirk’s death (RIP) hits a little too close to home. Perhaps it is because anyone who has some resemblance of a following who is outspoken against any narrative online has probably received some sort of threat in their inbox. (I know I have) It is baffling to me that one could harbour such a large amount of hate inside of them to want to have another silenced for having differing opinions than their own. I think about all my outspoken friends who are in positions faced to the public and of course myself and what this potentially means for all of us. This of course, would never stop me from speaking out to what’s right, so perhaps that is also why I wanted to make a comment. To me it is disgusting behaviour to mock/be happy about the death of people you disagree with that have done nothing wrong. I think about all my friends, family who could be wrongfully persecuted based off the delusions of perceived “sides”. The amount of hate manufactured and projected onto you for just living your life and not complying to a certain ideal is insane. I don’t like fear mongering but I also think it’s important to stay vigilant to what’s going on around you. It is a very real reality that there are people out there that hate you just for simply being you and what you represent to them. We’ve seen evidence of this twice this week and I suspect more to come unfortunately. I am always hopeful so I will leave this message on a positive note, that just as much hate has also been met with just as much love. There are many amazing kind hearted people out there standing up for what’s right and building community, coming together. Even if they are moving in silence behind the scenes or in front stage, I see you and I honour your work.

JADE gets emotional reflecting on her North American tour in a new TikTok: “I’m having so much fun on this tour. I just feel so grateful that I’m getting to do this at this point in my career. The fact that I get to tour [North America] after being in the industry for 15 years, and only now just getting to do my own headline tour, is incredible. It’s been a long time coming. What’s really beautiful about these shows is that when I look into the audience, I recognise so many of the fans here from back in the day, who’ve literally waited for years – like me! – for this moment. It just makes me feel so loved and supported to know people have believed in me enough to stick around for years waiting for this to happen. Anyone that’s bought a ticket, dressed up, made their own costumes… It’s just such a lovely, beautiful thing. I hope they can see when I’m on stage just how much that means to me, and how much I love performing and putting on the best show that I possibly can every single night. I will never ever take it for granted. I’m just so chuffed that I get to do this for a living… be a silly pop girlie, write and create music that brings people – and myself – a lot of joy… Thank you for believing in me. I literally get on the bunk on my bus most nights from the tour and just lie there like, ‘Oh my god! As if this is my life!’ It means a lot. You hosted a space where Igbo hate was preached, you were laughing and when someone tried to tone it down a bit that was your response because you think young Igbos would open a space to denigrate Yorubas. It's so sad tbvh, because i still can't believe it. I can understand fighting for yourself and your tribe but speaking with so much vileness about a people on a space nahh.

While I have premium I definitely want to do a long post breaking down the main scene from this show that I obsess with. There's so much that I feel could be learned from it. Not just for expansion animators either. There's honestly a LOT that can be learned from how this show directed its expansion scenes that can be applied to even safe for work animations. Obviously yes, the expansion alone is really good. What makes it so good though is just the fact that there's things you pick up on that you likely don't even realize until you re-watch. I'm using this scene as an example as it's not AS good I would say, but it still has a lot going for it. One thing I've always loved from it that I want to use in my own animations someday is that the expansion sort of comes in waves as opposed to one consistent growth. In a way, it makes it feel more natural while also selling how tight the top is getting. It could have been accompanied by showing the knot getting tighter or smaller with each growth. It's a small part of the animation but just that one thing already adds another layer to appreciate. It's not like most expansion scenes where there's very little outside of just "growing" on its own. There's a bunch of little things that subtly improve it without being obnoxious. The first expansion scene has WAY more that I want to talk about honestly. Far more than this one has. It will probably be a really long post now that I think about it...

The Trump administration needs to deploy the National Guard to the ICE facility in Portland asap. A perimeter around the area needs to be established, with check points, curfews, and all. Antifa has become emboldened, knowing that Portland Police will not respond following a judge’s recent ruling, deciding that they do not have to enforce laws at the 24-hour ICE occupation, which has been going on for more than 75 days. I briefly walked by the ICE facility to see if the illegal encampment had been swept and was immediately approached by this black clad Antifa TERRORIST, who threatened to kick my ass on federal property (I was on the phone at the time so didn’t record the threat.) As I made my escape, she yelled, “People like you shouldn’t ever feel safe.” It’s imperative for truthful journalists to report on the occupation because local/legacy media does not report the truth about what has been happening at ICE, particularly violence against local residents and federal police officers. I’ve been out here for over 2 months and it’s becoming increasingly difficult to report without being harassed, threatened, and assaulted — So this is a call for all journalists who work for independent news outlets to make their way to the Portland ICE facility and help out.

There were about 1,500 people crammed into the gymnasium, all excited to witness point guard Trevor Mullin eclipse 2,000 career points. Then, a freshman took the game over. He began things by posterizing three defenders at the rim. Later on, he pulled off this alley-oop, catching a pass from Mullin in the process. It was then that I turned to Trevor Hass from the Globe, and said: "I think this kid could play in the NBA one day." That freshman turned out to be AJ Dybantsa, and that day has arrived. He has officially been selected with the No. 1 overall pick in tonight's Draft by the Washington Wizards.
