A public prosecutor attached to the City Civil and Sessions Court in Bengaluru was caught red-handed by the Karnataka Lokayukta Police while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 5,000 from a complainant on Monday. The accused,has been identified as, Savitha Naveen Patil, 55, serving as Public Prosecutor at CCH-54, Bengaluru, was allegedly demanding a bribe to submit objections in Case registered at the Chennamanakere Achukattu Police Station. The complainant, Manjunath, 40, a resident of Banashankari, approached the Lokayukta alleging that the prosecutor had demanded Rs. 5,000 to carry out the official work. Based on the complaint, Lokayukta Police registered Case under the Prevention of Corruption Act. During the trap operation, the accused was allegedly caught while accepting the Rs. 5,000 bribe amount and was secured by the Lokayukta team and arrested for further investigation.

Unfortunately, I had to accompany Mukesh to Halasuru Gate Police Station & ensure a thorough statement was recorded, including the fact that the cause of the provocation was him playing Hanuman Chalisa. Humanity was put to shame in #UttarPradesh where all the limits of decency were broken while punishing an elderly man. In a horrific incident, an elderly #Muslim man was paraded after face blackened with ink and made to wear a garland of shoes around his neck in Uttar Pradesh's #Siddharthnagar. They also filmed the incident and made the video viral on social media. The incident reportedly occurred on Friday (December 08) in front of the entire village. He was also made to spit and lick it and a video of making him do sit-ups was made viral on social media. The incident occurred at the #Tighra village which falls under the #Golhaura Police Station area of Siddharthnagar district. The victim has been identified as #MohabbatAli who is a resident of Tighra village of Golhaura Police Station area. There are reports that Mohabbat Ali was punished by the miscreants in the village accusing him of talking to women in the village. The bullies accused the victim of asking the women of the village to talk him and also distributed his mobile number to the women of the village. The inhumane punishment video is going viral on social media and it can be seen in the video that the old man is being tied with a rope and paraded in the entire village. The miscreants are also seen thrashing the elderly man in the video. It can be also seen in the video that the elderly man is made to sit on the ground and asked to spit and lick it. The elderly man then sits on the ground and spits then takes his own saliva in his fingers and licks it. The elderly man then approched the police station and registered an FIR against the miscreants. The complaint was registered against four accused. The police swung into action after the elderly man registered a complaint and the video went viral on social media. The police arrested all the four accused in connection with the matter. The accused have been arrested by the police and they are in police custody and appropriate action will be taken against the accused. They replied to the viral video on social media and said, "In the referred case, a case has been registered at Golhaura police station and 04 accused have been arrested. Legal proceedings are prevalent."

Police have registered an FIR over public safety concerns. 2. Surat Ajmer minor girl case: Reports say a 12-year-old girl was allegedly lured through Instagram and taken from Surat to Ajmer. The accused has been arrested under POCSO, kidnapping and child protection-related charges. 3. Meerut child safety case: Local reports say a 40-year-old man allegedly took a 5 to 6-year-old girl to an isolated place. Locals caught the accused and police arrested him. The case is being investigated under serious child protection-related charges. 4. Kota digital exploitation case: In Kota, serious allegations include obscene digital content, targeting women, conversion angle and Pakistan link. But police say conversion and Pakistan link are not confirmed so far. The accused has been arrested and investigation is ongoing. This video is for public awareness. Final punishment will be decided by the court. Right now, these cases are at FIR, arrest and investigation stage.

Tumakuru district witnessed a thrilling chase scene on Monday that could rival a movie script. Information has now come to light that the national highway was briefly blocked during an operation to apprehend accused involved in a theft at Jagadamba Jewelry store near #BencheGate in #Kalamabella, #Shira taluk. Thanks to the courageous pursuit by locals and swift police action, four accused individuals were finally caught. After the robbery that took place on February 22 around noon, the accused fled in a Bolero car. Locals chased them for approximately 8 to 10 minutes, covering an estimated 15 kilometers on the national highway. The accused's vehicle reached up to #Tavarekere. During this chase, the locals provided information about the robbers' vehicle to the police. Upon receiving the information, police immediately barricaded and blocked the national highway at Tavarekere, setting a trap for the accused.
