Moments felt longer, attention sharpened, and I became increasingly aware of each moment as it passed. This work comes from that condition. Time is not treated only as a theme, but as a system embedded in the structure of the piece. Different ways of measuring time, such as mechanical cycles, calendars, and lunar phases, are translated into rules that continuously transform the work. The piece does not represent time. It runs on it. Its movement is tied to blockchain time. Even when unseen, it continues to rotate and evolve. When loaded, it synchronizes with the present moment, but it does not begin when it is viewed, and it does not stop when it disappears from the screen. During the residency, I spent hours thinking, sketching, and making connections. Those connections are also visible. Elastic lines, like rubber bands, link elements across the piece, representing how memories connect, how one thought leads to another, and how everything builds over time. These same connections introduce moments where the system attempts to pull itself back, as if trying to regain control. But it never fully resets. It is not a loop. The movement continues, drifting forward, never returning to a fixed state. Visually, the work reveals its own construction. Lines, paths, and rotations expose an internal logic, like looking inside a mechanism. The drawing language recalls diagrams, technical sketches, or the interior of a mechanical watch. It is a system in motion, always active. “Gift of Time” exists because I was given time by Art Blocks, OpenSea, and above all my family. It is my way of saying thank you. We have the huge honor of having KIRO selected in the TOP 50 of the #FutureVisionXPRIZE , among thousands of trailers submitted from all over the world. So we thought this was the perfect time to show you how we created one of the most visual effects in the trailer: ZERO GRAVITY. And no
 we didn’t have a zero-gravity plane. We had a swimming pool. 😂 This was an idea I’d been thinking about for a long time: shooting underwater to simulate weightlessness. Obviously, underwater ≠ zero gravity. But it gave us something incredibly valuable: freedom of movement. Our protagonist could float, spin, push another crew member away, drift through the frame
 Doing all of that practically on our budget would have been almost impossible. Our alternatives were basically: → create the entire sequence with AI → or find another practical way to fake physics So we went underwater. One of our biggest debates was actually
 her hair. From a narrative perspective, it would probably make more sense for an astronaut working inside a spacecraft to have her hair tied up — or even wear some kind of helmet. But visually? Loose hair floating in zero gravity is just WAY more cinematic. It instantly sells the sensation of weightlessness. So we knowingly sacrificed a little realism in favor of a stronger image. And I’d make that decision again. There are actually several shots from this experiment that I really love but we couldn’t include because of the trailer’s runtime. I have a feeling this won’t be the last time we use this technique. Here’s the before & after. 👇

I’m probably one of the only Teslanaires out there, if not one of the very few, still cutting my own hair. I cut my own hair again today, and it reminded me that becoming a multi-millionaire usually isn’t a random coincidence. People see the $ and think it just happened. What they usually don’t see are the small habits behind it. Of course, I could go spend $25–$50 on a haircut that probably looks better than the one I give myself. But that’s not really what matters to me. I don’t care that much about looking perfect. I care about controlling my time. I care about staying grounded. I care about keeping the kind of habits that helped me build wealth in the first place. And honestly, I enjoy doing it. I’ve been cutting my own hair for so many years that I don’t even think about going to the barber anymore. It’s just normal to me now. It saves time, keeps me frugal, and reminds me that wealth is usually built in the small choices nobody claps for. That’s the part people miss. A lot of people see wealth and assume it was luck. But a lot of the time, it’s really the result of small disciplined habits repeated for years. Not wasting $ just bc you can. Not wasting time just bc other people do. The fun part of experimenting with brushes is that you have to figure out how the ink behaves first. How it spreads. How it flows. Only after that do you start thinking about texture. And honestly both parts are hard in their own way. What I tried today was adding something like a magnetic force into the ink. So while drawing, these unexpected textures start to show up.Most of the strength and density come from layering 2D Perlin noise. It’s actually really fun to play with. A lot of time goes into things no one ever notices. That’s just life :)
