After clearing NEET, Sunil joined Kota Medical College in 2019-20. In his first exam, the college administration failed him, forcing his family to file a case. When the results were re-evaluated 7-8 months later, he was declared passed. In his third year, he was caught cheating, leading to the cancellation of two exams. Since then, he had been out of college for 1.5 years. Recently, when he tried to discuss his academic issues, the administration harassed him again. Soon after, he was found dead. A suicide note was recovered, where Sunil apologized to his parents for not meeting their expectations. But let’s be clear, he wasn’t weak. He wasn’t a failure. A man in #UttarPradesh's #Hathras was arrested after a 19-year-old woman died by suicide, allegedly following his refusal to marry her, police said on Wednesday. Kamini Sharma consumed poison on Monday afternoon and was rushed to the hospital by her family, where doctors declared her dead. On Tuesday, police recovered a video from the phone of Kamini's aunt in which the teenager could be heard blaming her neighbour and alleged lover, Akash, saying his refusal to marry her and his family's opposition to their relationship had pushed her to take the extreme step. In the video, Kamini is heard apologising to her mother, calling her "the best mother in the world". She said she did not want to die but felt compelled to do so as Akash and his family were unwilling to accept their relationship. Following the incident, an FIR was registered under BNS Section 108 (abetment of suicide) and Akash was taken into custody, SP Hathras Chiranjeevi Sinha said. Police said Kamini and the accused had been in a relationship for around four years. "The investigation is underway, and further action will be taken based on the evidence," a senior police officer said.

Seattle police have arrested a suspect in the murder of a University of Washington student. Juniper Blessing, a 19-year-old student and transgender woman, was found dead with stab wounds in a laundry room at the Nordheim Court Apartments – off-campus housing for UW students – Sunday night. The arrest came hours after the Seattle Police Department (SPD) released photos of a suspect on Wednesday, described as armed and dangerous. He took her for Tea, while returning forced her to Drink #Alcohol and in #intoxicated condition took her at his friend's house and Raped her when she was in an #inebriated (#drunken) condition. According to K.Narayana Reddy, DCP, Maheshwaram Zone, Future City Commissionerate, both the students pursuing third year from an Engineering College in Ibrahimpatnam, Rangareddy district. He took his female classmate to Dilsukhnagar for tea on May 14. While returning, he purchased liquor and consumed it at a secluded place. He also forced the girl to consume liquor. As the girl was in an intoxicated (drunken) condition, the student took her to his friend's room in Ibrahimpatnam and sexually Assaulted her when she was in inebriated condition. Based on a complaint lodged by the victim on May 15th, the police booked a case under relevant provisions of BNS and arrested the accused Uday and sent him to remand.
