TORONTO, ONTARIO - A 16-year-old who shot at police during a traffic stop in Toronto on Sun, Apr. 20 has died in hospital after being shot by police officers. The incident occurred in North York. The Special Investigations Unit (SIU) said a Toronto police officer stopped an Infiniti car over a Highway Traffic Act infraction in the area of Sheppard Avenue W. and Bathurst Street at around 11PM that night. "There was an exchange of gunfire during which two police officers discharged their firearms," the SIU said in the release. "The male was struck and was taken to hospital where he passed away. There were six people in the car when it was initially stopped for a missing front licence plate. Surveillance video obtained by CBC Toronto appears to capture the moment gunfire erupts. In it, the suspect vehicle appears to be boxed in between two police SUVs. It appears that one officer is on the road next to the driver's window before something happens that sends the officer scrambling to take cover in front of the car's hood. From that position, one of the officers reaches up and fires into the car at least three times while another officer, whose uniform is more visible, pulls out their gun and aims into the car.

MINNETONKA: A large police presence is in the area of Hopkins Crossroad and Lorry Lane as a male suspect is refusing to exit a vehicle and may be armed. The incident has been unfolding since at least 10:20 p.m. and SWAT officers are now on scene. Multiple drones are being used in the area and PA announcements being made for the suspect to exit the vehicle. Due to radio encryption, we have limited details on what preceded the incident, though it may be domestic in nature. Traffic in the immediate area remains closed as of 11:45 p.m. (Submitted video)

But there is another important detail in this footage. The blue private jet visible at the end of the video is the aircraft currently being used by the President for his trip to South Africa. JUST IN Police have now confirmed an inquest docket has been registered after a 41-year-old man allegedly shot and killed himself at a filling station in Brakpan on Saturday, 07 February 2025. SAPS says all role players including police detectives and forensic experts attended to the crime scene and the matter is under investigation. Community members that #SABCNews spoke to say it is Wiandre Pretorius who survived a hit on Friday. Pretorious was named by Witness D, Marius Van Der Merwe, at the Madlanga Commission of Inquiry, before he was assassinated last year. Pretorius was said to be amongst those linked to the dumping of the body of Emmanuel Mbense in a dam in Brakpan in 2022, allegedly on the instruction of Ekurhuleni metro police officers. At this point, given the developments of the last week, I’m doubling down on my theory: Bongino is Mark Wahlberg from The Other Guys - a peacock that is not being allowed to fly. Bongino does not have the luxury or the authority of being the ultimate decision-maker in this. Not even sure Patel has that authority. My assessment is that it’s on Bondi at this point. Only a question of whether or not it’s incompetence or malice on her part. Trump’s response to the question from the journalist is merely him trying to take ownership of the situation, whereas I am thoroughly convinced this is something of a sabotage operation to undermine his cabinet, his FBI, and his presidency.
