Brendan Fraser tells us that winning an Oscar doesn’t guarantee better acting roles. “The fallacy is you have the pick of the litter. It’s not true, actually, because it depends on what’s being made... the good news is that good work is good work. No one sets out to make a dud.”

Your “open” relationship is not indicative of maturity or an “evolved state of being.” In fact, there’s a strong argument that it indicates the opposite.

Robert Towne on what makes "Casablanca" (1942) a great movie: "I love 'Casablanca' (1942). It’s one of the most romantic American movies ever made. This is one of the greatest and most entertaining movies ever made. It’s virtually set in one setting, but there are a variety of characters and a richness of characters. There is a kind of absolute perfection in the wit of the screenwriters of the 1940s. They could come up with the words. Then you have the pairing of Bogart and Bergman. It’s one of the most brilliant teamings of all time." ("You Gotta See This", Cindy Pearlman, 2007)

A tale of transition, lust, and secret betrayal. Not sure how the trans / LGBTQ+ community is gonna feel about this one 😂 Or transphobes for that matter. Or Nickelback lovers. Or Nickelback haters. It’s kind of a confusing one. 🤷‍♀️ But you know what? It’s fun and I love it.

An interviewer says Lupita Nyong'o's "Odyssey" characters both exhibit simmering "rage" "I love the rage that kind of simmers in both of these women at different times. Like when we see them, I can kind of see like how their anger is building one way or the other." Nyong'o: "This movie is a lot about the cost of war on everybody. Those who go to war, those who were left behind, those who caused the war. And so for these two women, they have experienced this time very differently and their anger is a product of their unique experiences."

RIP Rob Reiner (1947-2025) Stand by Me (1986) Director: Rob Reiner This is one of those movies that is very unique. There are many movies that has children as lead characters. But not many movies from the US have such complex child characters with a deep understanding of life. Such a great tear jerker. [P.S: Based on Stephen King's "The Body"]

This is genocidal rhetoric. Period. Israel's National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir just declared: "For every tear of an Israeli mother, a thousand Lebanese mothers must weep." "All of Lebanon must burn." A senior member of Netanyahu's government is openly calling for the suffering of an entire civilian population. That is sick. That is depraved. That is the kind of rhetoric that should be condemned by every decent human being.

Robert Pattinson on Matt Reeves’ ‘THE BATMAN: PART 2’ 🦇 “The script is incredibly dense... [Matt Reeves is] just one of those directors who it’s really obvious that he has the entire thing in his head already... There’s so much in it that it’s almost impossible to encompass the whole thing. It’s so ambitious... the first one was a different take on a Batman movie, and this one is another… It’s a real left turn from the first one, but somehow it keeps elements of the kind of feel of it. But it just feels really ambitious, and I’m excited to see how it turns out.” (via Collider)
