Brett Baty is a prime example of why player development is not linear This is the Baty I’ve covered since he was drafted Confident, hitting the ball hard to all fields. Just a different player than we’ve seen Swinging the bat as hard as anyone in MLB

It's a beautiful thing. Curiously, as Baty ascends, Vientos is sinking. If this keeps up Vientos will, shockingly, find himself back in Syracuse. Never expected that but it seems inevitable.

Vientos is out of minor league options.

Train your shooters on the same technology the top coaches use for player evaluation. #MakeMoreShots #WinMoreGames

I was a big fan. Then I was skeptical. Now I’m a big fan again. This kid is a pleasure to watch at the plate.

He has developed defensively too! Possibly a gold glove in his future if the keep him at 3rd and stop bouncing him to 2nd.

Im being cautious though just because of how bad he has been at the major league level, I have like Baty ptsd.

Amen

He’s done it in spurts before. We need consistency

Correct me if I am wrong, Joe. The book on him is he began each level slowly, then the "gear" kicked in and he dominated till he moved up to the next level? The Show may have just taken the "gear" a little longer than other levels.

Baty has been playing like an all star caliber hitting and defense

Plus he runs right after hitting the ball, Soto needs to pay attention
