Brian Cox explains, while moon landing denial is strange enough, the "Flat Earth" movement takes the crown for sheer absurdity. To believe the Earth is flat, you have to accept that every single commercial pilot, astrophysicist, and sensible professional on the planet has secretly colluded to maintain a massive,... show more

I think there are three categories of flat earthers: idiots, crazy people and scammers/trolls.

the conspiracy requires perfect silence from millions across every hostile nation for centuries. most companies can't keep a product launch secret for two weeks.

i’ve got a theory that most people claiming to be “flat Earthers” don’t actually believe crap they’re spouting but love to have a following of gullible’s they can string along for whatever reason, be it financial or otherwise.

Remember that the flat earth society has chapters around the globe....🙄🤣

There are also people who believe quite sincerely that men can change into women.

Santa Clause! Virtually all pilots know the earth is not a globe. Flight navigation systems do not account for the curvature of the earth - there is no need. Astrophysicists believe what they are told. Few question what they have been taught. And if they do, they get laughed at!

Brian Cox hits the nail on the head when he says the idea of a flat Earth conspiracy is a conspiracy "for no reason at all". If our Earth were flat, everything would be the same as it is now anyway so what would be the point in keeping it secret when knowing that it's flat would change nothing? If you believe the Earth is flat, then you're saying that everything would be exactly the same as you're saying it already is, so if there's no difference, why keep the truth secret?

@BertieSlack2 He obviously hasn’t come across chemtrail cultists or jet fuel boxers yet!

Can a flat earth person explain to me what happens when you go to the edge of the earth? Is there a wall that you cannot pass like Game of Thrones? Is the earth a square? I don't even begin to understand any of this.

Flat Earth is all about believing in god...if you can believe in god with no evidence...you can also believe in a flat earth with no evidence...

@archer_rs Grandiosity. From the flat earthers I've met personally (as well as other conspiracy theorists) there's a grandiosity that puts their own intuition above the knowledge and honesty of experts.

That’s the appeal: “I know something nobody else knows, and that makes me special.”

Also, you would have to believe that when people look thru telescopes at Mars, Jupiter, Saturn or the moon, and can see that they are spheres, that they believe the earth is a disk??

Of fuck off, you and your clown handler

Pilots will tell you the truth, just ask them.

Flat earthers (conspiracists) have a LOT in common with hyper religious people.

Wish we could send these flat Earthers to space so they can see for themselves and then just keep the rocket going so they can land on another flat planet lol

Even Aristotle was in on the conspiracy.

He forgot to say that anyone who ever had two lessons of physics about gravity should come to the realization that a massive flat earth must collapse onto itself. There is a reason why planets aren't flat.

Personally I don’t believe anyone genuinely thinks the Earth is flat. There is no reason to. There’s no evidence to suggest it is. I’m interested in why they unwaveringly continue with this absurd narrative though.

Actually… one of the real wonders of the universe is the ability for certain humans to believe such nonsense…. We have one of the largest brains of any organism on this planet… yet humans still have the ability for stupidity, racism, fear and death chants that kill our planet

@WalshHeyjude I have said this elsewhere but the reason you know the Earth is not flat is because if it was, the cats would have knocked everything off the edge by now.

Poor little Brian Cox, a small man with a small brain, and easily controllable. He's straight out of the same mould as that confused shill David Attenborough, sad 🤡

Obviously Brian would say this as he would lose his paycheck if the Earth was proved to be flat.

I think the Flat Earth theory was started as a bit of a joke but quickly became a way to help weed out the stupid, crazy, or otherwise. If someone talks about the flat earth theory without that certain nod or wink, you can tell they were not to be trusted. Do not suffer fools.

Flat earth always feels like some huge elaborate joke I'm not in on.

@archer_rs I couldn’t believe that some people really believe the world is flat. How do they achieve such stupidity

"a staggering leap of logic" To be fair, that pretty much applies to the Bible as a whole.

@LightninLex Just here to laugh at the Flat Earth retards whilst they embaras themselves a little more.

@ScrapperRural He believed in Covid and the miracle vaccines!🤭

@IanAdAstra It makes sense if you have people telling you that men can be women - in that case why can the earth not be flat?
