Brian Fleury explained the reason for the rotation at right guard. "It's not an indictment of Christian [Haynes] at all. The thought is Beau [Stephens] at some point might have to play in a much larger role, and we'd hate for that to be his first experience."

Jim O'Callaghan has said that he aspires to be the leader of Fianna Fáil – just not right now. When the question was put to him, the Justice Minister said: "Yeah, I would have thought so at some stage in the future, but it's not an immediate concern for me."

These boys at the Washington Nationals game thought it was funny to call a man and his wife the “F” word for no reason at all except to try and look like Alpha males in front of the girls that came with them.I do have all of their names, but won’t post them here.

Car fire at the Wawa in Northampton, PA, yesterday. I’m genuinely not trying to be funny at all, but is it normal for a firefighter to have this much difficulty controlling the hose?

Do your divots point left of your target all the time? If so... they SHOULD! Have a look at this shot from Shane Lowry at the Ryder Cup. My green arrow is the target & my red arrows are where his divot is pointing. This is perfectly normal If your divots point at the target or right of your target, it means your swing path could be excessively in to out which can produce blocks & hooks Now obviously an excessive out to in path could produce a divot that is excessively left of target for sure, but for a fairly straight shot, it's perfectly normal for your divot to point slightly left of target

".. we might get something to reduce or cap bus fares" Andy Burnham could stand in front of No.10 and announce that his first act as PM is to make all buses free at the point of use for everyone from tomorrow. That would have a huge impact & it'd signal boldness.

President Biden is asked about what the Trump indictment means for the rule of law in the US and he responds "I have no comment at all." God, it makes me so happy to have an adult in charge, again.

🚨WE DO NOT HAVE AN MS DHONI TO BE HIS CAPTAIN - MICHAEL VAUGHAN WARNS STEPHEN FLEMING🤯 Michael Vaughan said :🗣️ "Stephen Fleming is very well respected, renowned for being a very good manager & tactician. I've seen him at the IPL, and one of the problems he might discover in English cricket is that we do not have an MS Dhoni to be his captain. Dhoni ran the ship at Chennai Super Kings, and Fleming had some really good backroom coaches as well. MS Dhoni runs the franchise & made things extremely easy for Stephen Fleming. It will not be an easy job for Fleming in the absence of someone like MS Dhoni".

The first sign of a stroke might not seem like much. Like not being able to raise your arm. But any sign of a stroke is always an emergency. Face or arm or speech, at the first sign, it's time to call 999.

Would you just look at that. 👀 The tile countertop is finally gone. 🙌🏼 For some reason the right side proved to be a bit more challenging to get off. 😅

Jalen Milroe first has to prove he’s ready to play the QB position before earning the chance to have sub packages built for him. Brian Fleury does not shy away from saying that’s a possibility.

The walk off was cool but after all of the shit we’ve thrown at JP for his defense, massive flowers to him for this play Might have legit won the game.

Here is the play folks are asking about, and I don't see an error here. Triolo doesn't make an attempt at the runner going to second, so it cannot be a fielder's choice, and the struggle to get the ball out of his glove isn't an error unless there is a complete loss of contact/bobble with air, and I don't see that either, and Happ then beat out the play at first. I don't see where the error is because Happ is on the base before the ball gets to first. There is an error for the advancements after the bad throw, but I have a single and not an assumed out here.

Holy sh*t: Sam Altman: "The inside view at the companys of looking at what's going to happen - the *world is not prepared.* We're going to have extremely capable models soon. It's going to be a faster takeoff than I originally thought. And that is stressfull and anxiety inducing"

OK, I have a definitive word on the CJ Abrams play from today's Pittsburgh Pirates at Washington Nationals game after talking with Elias Sports Bureau on this. This play will stay as a sacrifice fly. The originial ruling of NOT a sacrifice fly was for the exact same reason that I thought, which is that the infielder is not running into the outfield, which is year's past would have been correct As it was explained to me, in past years, an infielder had to be running almost in a straight line towards the outfield wall to be considered "running in the outfield". Here, since he is running, and he ends up further away from home (157 feet) than when he started (145 feet), this is going to count as a sacrifice fly. That definition is changing, in part from this play to help bring greater consistency, and to take some of the guesswork out of it (the argument that he is running into the outfield as opposed to more parallel). Now, folks all the time ask "why doesn't MLB publish the OS Manual" and I always say because it is a living document that can have the wording change, and the wording for this play will be modified to something like "more towards the outfield wall than towards home plate" to eliminate any confusion. The big key to this play is that he was running on a full sprint. Also, and this is helpful for me, but for all fly ball outs that score a run, Elias Saba reviews to ensure consistency. So, yes, it's a sacrifice fly, and now that I have that info from Elias themselves, that sort of settles this one. Sounds like the guidelines for this definition will be changing, either this season, or certainly for next season.
