I think he knows why. And there is absolutely nothing wrong with what he said. We did not have the best 12 in the tournament. We had the most deserving. I am not arguing that OM should have been in. The committee has dug their feet in and said they don’t want 3 loss teams in the field. But if Lane won’t stand up for his own team, who else would? There simply wasn’t enough worthy teams for the field this year. We had a couple of plays that kept three more SEC teams from being in the tournament. And yeah, what Lane said was legitimate. Was you entertained and in the edge of your seat? Yes YES it was super nice to have college football on the weekend before Christmas. But the games were not competitive and fun to watch. I get it, year one. They will make some changes. But the committees lack of transparency on SOS and how they calculate it, leaves the absence for us to have to speculate and from what sports fans can tell, it doesn’t matter that much to them. Win 10 games a year, and you probably make the tourney every year. SC got robbed of the LSU game, OM blew it on Kentucky 4th and forever play, and Florida (still think Dart may have been paid on those ints) and they absolutely blew it down in Baton Rouge. But don’t grow hate when State is 5-7, 2-10 looking at 3-9 next year and Lebby got his guys posting #SHOWTIME on their media post. Fired the entire media crew, doesn’t make any changes to coaching staff on the defense, and is completely silent on everything. What exactly did Lane say that equated to crying?
