Before performing the song, Knopfler tells the story of how he figured out finger picking on the guitar. After getting his first electric-guitar, he couldn't find the nerve to ask for an amplifier from his father. Because he didn't have an amplifier, he plugged the guitar into the radio and blew it up. Then he borrowed a friend of his acoustic guitar and learnt how to finger-pick. During his studies with acoustic guitar, he got exposed a lot to the country music. There the story almost ends, then he grabs his national style acoustic guitar and plays a love song he called Romeo and Juliet, live at An Evening With Mark Knopfler, at London's Hurlingham Club on the 9th September 2009.
